Earlier today I was reminded of a post I made in January, Pregnant And Pushed Out, that dealt with an OP-ED piece from the NY Times. In Her OP-Ed Dina Bakst discussed how pregnant women are being pushed out of the job because there is currently no law requiring employers to make accommodations to expectant mothers. New York State Senator Liz Krueger and Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther introduced legislation, S.6273 and A.9114, to rectify this situation. You can read the full text of the bill here. The bill has been referred to Investigations and Government Operations which has been its status since January.
