The Political Social Worker
As I discussed on Wednesday in Election Night Recap: Onward & Forward, all five Social Workers up for re-election on the Federal level won their seats. There was also one state legislative race I had been watching this campaign season; and that was Social Worker and educator Kate Boltz.
Boltz, who was endorsed by C-Forward, won her legislative seat in Nebraska’s district 29 after a close race with opponent Larry Zimmerman. Boltz received her Master of Social Work degree from the University Of Michigan and serves as secretary for Nebraska’s National Association of Social Workers chapter. Currently she works for Nebraska’s Appleseed Center for Law in The Public Interest.
